Kabi-CTC successful debut in Makkah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Dubai, UAE, 8 April 2026: Kabi‑CTC, a transformative joint venture between Kabi, the UAE’s leading private taxi operator, and Capital Transport Company (CTC), Saudi Arabia’s largest and most trusted taxi provider, has officially commenced operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, marking a significant milestone with the successful debut of its joint venture taxi services in Makkah. On 13 March, the first 16 Kabi-CTC taxis were deployed, following months of rigorous preparation, coordination, and collaboration between partners.

Prior to the start of operations, the licenses for the new Makkah taxi contracts were officially handed over in a ceremony attended by Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al‑Jasser, Minister of Transport, as part of a joint initiative to enhance transportation services in Makkah. Kabi‑CTC was among the licensed operators, alongside Qaid and Hafil, which were also awarded contracts to support taxi services in the Holy City.

On Sunday, 15 March, coinciding with the 27th night of Ramadan, the city of Makkah experienced one of its most demanding operational periods, with unprecedented passenger movement and phased road closures across the city.

Meeting the demands of this night required focused planning and close coordination. As passenger numbers increased and road closures changed across the city, Kabi‑CTC adjusted fleet deployment across more than 20 key locations to ensure continued service. Ongoing communication with transport authorities, drivers, and operational teams helped maintain safe and efficient operations. Collaboration between UAE and KSA teams ensured consistency on the ground during one of Makkah’s busiest periods.

During the night, the Kabi-CTC fleet completed over 200 trips, delivering essential and reliable transport for all who needed it. This achievement reflects the resilience, community focus, and operational excellence that define Kabi-CTC, reinforcing Al Ghurair culture essentials.

The successful debut in Makkah represents the first milestone of the Kabi‑CTC initiative, setting a strong foundation for future growth in the Kingdom and underlining Kabi‑CTC’s commitment to supporting critical mobility needs in one of the world’s most significant cities.
